COVID Safety at St. Edwards Blackburn South

Please help us keep everyone safe and compliant with government regulations.

1. Masks are now optional. Please use wisdom and love and respect the choices of others.

2. QR codes checkins are no longer required for services. However, they are still recommended for morning tea.

3. Proof of Vaccination is no longer mandatory at places of worship.

4. Hand Sanitiser is provided at the entrance and on a stand near the front of the church

5. Our pews have been placed 1.5 meters apart. Please only share pews with those outside your household by mutual consent.

6. Prayer books, Bibles and song books/hymnals are not distributed. Our liturgy and lyrics are reproduced on our projector screen during worship.

7. Building capacity is now unlimited.

8. No offertory collection. Please use electronic giving

9. Communion will be provided in both kinds. All are offered individual cups of alcoholic wine and individual wafers. The common cup is still strongly advised against by government and church authorities.

10. Receiving communion occurs at the communion rails. Please observe social distancing while queing and receiving.

11. Doors may be left open to improve ventilation.

12. Greetings. The clergy and welcomers will greet you at the door before and after the service but without handshakes. Please greet each other the same way. The greeting of the peace will be a liturgical response only.

13. Social gathering after church may include tea and coffee service and food offered indoors.
